Misinterpretation of scripture

Abovementioned scripture transcends cultures. It goes without saying that we should respect our elders. It is also the only commandment with a promise, ” so your days may be long”. The oxford dictionary describes honour as a great respect for somebody. Respect, is a feeling of approval. No where does it say that honour means calling a wrong, right. Your children are raised better. When people meet you, they will never believe that you come from a family of addicts. That is the highest form of honour.
